Ropes Co. is developing sensors to attach to ropes used in oil and gas (e.g., tug boat pulling a supertanker or a rope used to anchor offshore wind farms).
Today there is a physical inspection of the ropes, and it’s subjective by the person analyzing it. Their goal is to develop a product that reduces inspection time and can predict rope failure before they happen in the future.
Ropes Co. is building the sensors but needs assistance building out the software platform to measure, collect, analyze, and display the sensors’ information.
They are looking for a platform to marry their sensors and sensors from others and time-series data vs. point-in-time data.
The initial phase is discovery to scope the project with the client, which will then pivot to the build-out and testing of the platform.
The immediate need is for us to deliver a mobile app and web portal that is not connected to the backend, to be tested with users in the field for feedback.
