Manage the day-to-day research activities associated with project execution as part of a team, working collaboratively to meet the quality, quantity, and timeline targets for project deliverables.
The position will contribute to the team’s effort to develop and evaluate sorghum lines and hybrids by performing and assisting with many aspects of breeding and testing program at Venado and Oran Research stations
Major Job Responsibilities :
Assist with overseeing day-to-day activities of the breeding program.
Coordinate nursery bagging and pollination with the breeders on nursery fields and greenhouses on summer and winter sites.
Coordinate research activities to Research Technicians.
Supporting efforts to maintain integrity of seed packaging, field layout, planting, data collection, and harvesting.
Coordinate temporary and part time employees training on main research activities including protocols and procedures
Assist with agronomic data collection in both nursery and field trials.
Ensure data is collected accurately and uploaded to databases in a timely manner
Oversee inventory and maintenance of seed stocks
Oversee safety and ensure protocols are being properly followed.
Help with organizing and conducting field experiments.
Use of MS Office programs, especially Excel.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, customer service and professionalism that promotes a positive image of the company and the research department.
This position requires approximately 10% travel to company locations and may include other domestic and international travel.
You must have a valid ARG. driver's license and be insurable by the company.

Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in plant sciences, agriculture or related field, or equivalent with 4 years’ experience working in a commercial breeding program.
Research - A basic understanding of plant genetics and breeding is desirable
Quality - Attention to Detail
General Math Skills - Including statistical analysis and interpretation
Computer knowledge Good level of computer competency : tablets, PC’s, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word) etc.
Teamwork - Ability to lead and manage people effectively
Multicultural Approach - Ability to work in a corporation with global network (global company)
