The Clinical Applications Specialist role performs the installation and training of Natus software and hardware in clinical locations.
The role also assists in software, hardware, technical, and PC issues to work towards prompt resolution in order to maximize customer satisfaction, and promote a quality image of Natus.
Specified regions include Central America, Caribbean and South America.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and may include additional duties as assigned :
Perform demonstrations on Natus equipment that involve the modalities of Intra Cranial Pressure Monitoring .
Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.
Assist with onsite installation of Natus hardware and software, including configuration and testing.
Conduct onsite training to clinical staff on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the complete diagnostic system including software and hardware.
Maintain ownership and updates assigned service requests according to procedure.
Ensure timely completion of all paperwork and required reports including all data entries into required systems.
Provide WebEx training as assigned.
Assist with field trial sites as assigned.
Work closely to resolve issues at problem accounts and communicate status to the Manager of Field Service.
Communicates customer feedback to the product development group.
Work closely with technical support, sales, and customer service and serve as a liaison to ensure customer needs are met.
Provide clinical support and demo assistance to the sales group as needed.
Participate in training sessions and review new products to stay up-to-date with new product offerings.
Occasionally travels to US or to EU may be required for training purposes (estimated 2-3 times / y).
Other duties as assigned.
Travel Required : Extensive, depending on global needs up to 75%

Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University; or two to four years related experience and / or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Neuro Critical Care Departments performing Intra Cranial Pressure Monitoring studies is a must and only applications with this experience are considered .
ICP is performed in Adult Neurological ICU, Stroke Units, Trauma Centers. We need somebody, ideally a nurse, who has worked in this specific, challenging environment for several years, understanding the needs of the patients and of the NeuroIntestivists, as well as Neurosurgeons in diagnosing and treating their patients.
Otherwise is needed to have some sort of experience in Neuro-ICU, especially for brain monitoring of some sort. Experience can also be only related to a company working in this field, but the ideal candidate should have clinical experience as well.
This role requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of flexibility and ability to juggle incoming inquiries and oversee scheduled tasks and projects.
Also requires a motivated and independent thinking individual with ability to provide analysis and feedback as issues may require.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MS OFFICE proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Excellent knowledge of the English language.
