The LATAM Market Lead will seek to provide "service excellence" to business partners through establishing effective relationships, partnerships, and alignment of procurement outcomes to market specific priorities.

This role is expected to develop, maintain and implement a 3-5 year strategic plan for the LATAM Market and work with global market leads to ensure all projects deliver maximum value for the business.

It is necessary for this individual to understand the product lifecycle process, impact on the organization (both short and long term) and have knowledge of the global value chain to provide strategic industry insights and identify potential opportunities that ultimately lead to a BMS competitive advantage.

This position will facilitate continuous improvement and idea innovation that will enable the Business Partner, Category and Functional Leads to achieve strategic objectives.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities : + Lead Global Procurement LATAM Market organization + Understand market nuances to effectively develop, implement and drive the global, regional, and local Procurement strategy, policies and processes + Establish clear roles and responsibilities between regional / local resources to avoid double workload and ensure "one-face" to the business + Encourage cross-market and cross-functional collaboration to take advantage of synergies through effective business partnering and stakeholder management + Develop and manage key senior business relationships with market (regional / local) leaders and functional business partners + Ensure business partners are satisfied with the overall Procurement relationship + Develop collaborative relationships with business partners in order to leverage knowledge, spend and procurement effectiveness + Champion Procurement training programs to better support business needs + Drive co-ownership of initiatives and accountability based on agreed upon strategies + Develop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms + Drive and ensure collaborative relationships with suppliers, in order to leverage knowledge, spend and procurement effectiveness + Oversee the rationalization and selection of suppliers that meet business requirements at the optimal total cost + Ensure preferred suppliers exist for each category of spend and manage compliance + Identify, build, and maintain mutually beneficial relationships, partnerships, and alliances with select suppliers + Ensure excellence in delivery of procurement initiatives that maximize corporate, business, and functional priorities and objectives + Ensure of planned cost savings in markets based on category management strategies and compliance plans + Ensure key agreements and contracts are reviewed to protect and advance the company's interest + Build and continuously improve the LATAM Market procurement capability + Ensure and influence ongoing talent development + Establishing / communicating criteria for evaluating staff performance + Manage head count and direct the implementation of work processes and practices to optimize staff engagement and effectiveness + Encourage and champion external research, benchmarking, and involvement in professional networks as a means of strengthening capabilities via the adoption of procurement profession best practices + Direct all initiatives and strategic decisions for the LATAM market, including all budgetary matters and resource management Internal / External Stakeholders : + Business unit specific leadership teams + GPSLT + Supplier executive management + Senior members of industry Minimum Requirements : + B.

S. / B.A. + Minimum of 10+ years of business experience + Minimum of 8-10 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience, preferably in a multinational environment or relevant experience + Minimum of 3 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience or relevant experience + Experience leading and participating on cross-functional and global teams + Managerial experience including managing teams of senior professionals and managers and establishing performance expectations + Internal stakeholder management, data / information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills + Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience + Business fluency in Spanish, Portuguese and English Preferred Qualifications : + M.

S. / M.B.A. + Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM). + 5 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience + Membership in Professional Associations, e.
