About the position

The Product programs team at MuleSoft has responsibility for programs spanning the entire software development lifecycle from roadmapping and product portfolio management to post-

release operational health. As the Technical Program Manager for our internal product onboarding and learning program you will have the opportunity to meaningfully impact how our organization scales by completely owning and running this net new program.

The objective of the internal onboarding and learning program is to provide the framework and set of scalable materials and trainings to successfully onboard and train employees in the MuleSoft product organization.

This includes : Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, UX and Documentation. The position requires working cross-functionally with Product leadership, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Architects, Product Marketing, Employee Success, technical field leadership and Sales Enablement.

Responsibilities

Build, deliver, roll out and operate our first internal Product employee onboarding and learning program with a curriculum of digital learning modules on topics ranging from platform architecture and use case overviews to culture and SDLC

Partner closely with internal and outside subject matter experts on program materials and approaches

Drive global communications on the program to all stakeholders including executive staff and employee all-hands

Support employee events and corporate initiatives as needed

Drive continuous improvement in the onboarding and learning program

Support (through training) the roll out and improvement of other existing programs

Define and use success metrics to assess the effectiveness of training, and implement suggestions for improvement

Uncover and prioritize new training opportunities

In 30 days you will

Learn our existing programs and workflows including our systems of records and key stakeholders

Gain a foundational understanding of the Anypoint Platform (take our Fundamentals course and our API design course)

Engage with employees and new hires to gather input and perform a gap analysis

In 60 days we expect you to

Create a program charter containing the initial point of view on how the program will work, the success goals and metrics and the prioritized list of gaps to address

Develop a program implementation and roll out plan

Work cross-functionally to get feedback and buy-in on program plan from all stakeholders

Within 90 days you will be able to

Lead the execution of the program charter and plan

Prepare reviews and executive staff briefing / reports as needed

Experience

Demonstrated excellence for writing and producing impeccable technical content for a developer / DevOps / engineering audience

At least 2 years experience managing technical projects or programs which includes :

Planning projects using traditional and agile methodologies

Leading small teams through change management

Performing data analysis and making recommendations

Reporting regularly to stakeholders at multiple business levels

Analyzing and managing risks

Conducting retrospectives

Very strong understanding of software development and the ability to read and ideally write code

Strong familiarity and experience working with APIs and cloud-based enterprise software

Experience creating and editing images, diagrams, and other graphics to accompany written content

Experience using video and learning management tools to create effective learning experiences

Bachelors' degree with a background in a technical discipline preferred (information technology, information security, computer science, or other STEM)

Proven ability to work and effectively, prioritize and organize your work and the work of others in a highly dynamic environment

Certifications

No certifications are required, but a plus if you have one or more : Lean, Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile certifications such as PMP, PMI-

ACP or other PMI certifications, APMG, Six Sigma Belts, SAFe etc.
